Alfa GT.
BA FPV Falcon GT.
Smart Roadster.
And that’s basically it. 2003 was kinda a boring year for cars.

I would unironically drive a Smart Roadster daily.

I occasionally think of getting one, but then their reputation puts me off again.

That’s not fair.
It’s only the first day of 2018 and the U.S. are happy with the Twingo then you go and rub it in with your 15 year law. Lol.
But you can get a few other cars really, maybe some won’t set you life on fire but some are quite good.
The C2 being a more modern Citroen Saxo.
Citroen C2.
Ford Focus C-Max.
VW Touran.
(this one is a 1.6 petrol with manual, 100,000 miles and is £1,290).

As long as you don’t drive it in the rain, it should be somewhat fine.

After 2002 they stopped making the Supra, Skyline GT-R, Silvia and RX-7.
It says it all really.
The late-60s-early-70s and late-80s-early-90s seem to be the golden age for cars.
Maybe we’re heading there again now, but there’s a lot of bad to offset the good.

The GT is the forgotten about middle child of 90s/2000s Alfa coupes. Before it, you had the GTV/Spider, and after you had the Brera. Justice for the GT.

I don’t think the Smart is wide enough to accept a boxer motor...

Hayabusa motor is an I4 not a boxxer....and people make kits for the fort2 already

I know the ‘busa engine isn’t a boxer, should have specified that... oops. This is what I get for staying up too late. I meant swapping in an EJ25 or something of that nature (which probably won’t fit.)

why would you want that? busa motors are 200HP stock, 400 once boosted.
highest I’ve ever seen was a 700HP drag bike. Still a street machine. holy tits would it move.

Because a ‘busa swap just seems too normal. It seems like everyone goes “Hayabusa swap it” when it comes to a small car.

there is a solid reason for it.

Wait...wasn’t there a ‘hot’ version of the C2? I know the Saxo had the....what was it called, VTS or some such?

There was 110bhp VTR and the 125bhp VTS.
There was also the exclusive in the U.K. Citroën C2 GT 110bhp, which had a sportier bodykit and white alloy wheels.

I would happily take a CTR or VTS C2!!! Downside being, I would have to find one in LHD as RHD cars here in Nova Scotia tend to be very hard / very expensive to insure. :(
Would make a fun daily!

There are three 2004 Citroën C2 VTS in Europe. One in Belgium, one in and the last in Spain. the Spanish one is an automatic.

I thought it was bad enough in a Hyundai i30 (this was an ex-rental car, probably for American tourists).
But an automatic in a small, fun hot hatch is just wrong.

So true.
I’ve never driven an auto and I’ve no wish to.
I learned to change gears by listening to the engine, feeling the peddles, feeling the steering and using my judgement based on terrain, etc... to then resort to a stop/go that a toddler uses on a battery operated car. No thank you.

Well put! :P All my family’s cars have been autos, but all mine have been manuals and I hate it when I have to drive theirs! :S

I thought the GT and Brera were on sale at the same time at about the same price?
